In your small engines, use Amzoil Quick Shot, works like a charm, never had a problem with any small engine since I started using it. Start fist pull every time after storage, etc...
Vehicles take PI. It isn’t as expensive as buying non oxygenated gas, but it is an extra expense.

Although I have never used it, PRI-G is supposed to do the same thing while costing the same but treating 512 gallons per quart. Lots of marine guys use it.

When my dad died (military shrapnel Injury) it was difficult for my mother at that time...they had “surplus food” to help people out so she got that for awhile til she found work.
It was powdered milk and eggs, cheese, canned meat, rice, and a couple other items on ocassion. She busied herself learning how to cook with it and make dishes we could eat. As kids we never knew we were poor at that time...but we were.
We didn’t have all the fluff kids think they need to day.....what is now standard for kids was a treat for us. Soda pop came once a month as a treat and divided among us four kids. When it was gone that was it!
We had a good childhood even though we didn’t have all the fluff....I don’t regret it at all for it taught me well how to survive the lean times.

Thank you for sharing your story. We had a big farm house and I thought we were rich, until I realized in jr. high and high school that we were really poor. Not as bad as you had, but still not like the spoiled brats we see on EBT cards today.
We did ok. My parents loved us, and did what they could. It could have been better or worse and I would still treasure those times.

I have never taken a dime of farm aid. Don’t want it, don’t need it. It comes with strings and I don’t want anymore of those either.
This was not a farm aid bill though. We should all know that. It was a food stamp welfare bill.

Interesting my Uncle, who lived several states away...could not understand why his two kids, who were given pretty much what they wanted..had a beautiful home etc....turned out so bad....yet we had so little and we turned out so well. It truly mystified him.
IMO You teach kids to make good decisions...when they’re grown they then determine if they’re going to make them ....or not.
If they live good ..it’s because of the choices and decisions THEY make...if not..they made those other ones as well.
My mom taught us that well..and we felt her wrath enough to not make the same mistakes twice!
As we have a seperation of church and state, so too should we have a seperation of economics and state
