As I recall, according to the FReeper Lexicon “maroon” and “moran” are approved alternate spellings of “moron”, although they have not reached the status of beeber, stune, and cheese. /smile

Maroon is used as a Freeper 'insider joke'. IIRC, it originally came from BUGS BUNNY.

Also used is MORAN.

Other 'insider jokes or phrases' ...Stune my Beeber. That's Hugh, and Series.
