Can the self-righteousness. I repeat, it's one ethnic/racial slur of many, and it's just a WORD. It's slung around daily by blacks, so I'm just not feeling the moral outrage.
The word "honky", another racial term, originates from "bohunk", which was a derogatory word for Polish and Hungarian immigrants. Do you get worked up into a lather when you hear black people use it?
