Rangel: We Have To Pass Amnesty To Save The Republican Party…

Rangel just wants what’s best for the GOP… or something.

“I would hate for them to see themselves just go out of business and we don’t have this competitive form of ideas in our great country,” the New York Democrat told Fox News this weekend. “It’s the right thing for the country, and it certainly is a right thing to make certain we have two parties competing against each other.”

Yeah, like this racist crook wants to save the Republicans. If Rangel gets any stupider, we should classify him as a new and lower species.

I find Charlie’s concern for the Republican party truly touching. As in touching the back of my throat and making me gag.

Complete BS. If Charlie truly thought that not passing amnesty would be the end of the GOP, he'd vote against it in a heartbeat.

oh please......... As if Charlie Rangel gives a blank about the Republican party. How low will politicians go to insult our intelligence?

Rangel has never faced any serious Republican opposition in being re-elected over the years. He expects us to believe that he would like competition from a GOP candidate????

There does not appear to be any pathway to saving the R party. The R party leadership has eviscerated the platform and beliefs that distinguished them from the D party and have alienated their most loyal voters. The behavior of the R party leaders during this amnesty legislation has perplexed many and left them with no popular appeal. Individual R’s such as Christie have regional appeal but only as personalities and not for values or responsible stewardship of the authority given them by voters. As it stands, the R party has no clear identity and its leaders seem mistaken about how to sustain the party.

The R party leadership seems convinced that solid American values and responsible service and stewardship are hurting the party. They are wrong. The R party’s values are irrelevant to some degree—it is the lack of a medium of communication to the voters that is their problem. The conservatives in the R party have values that are very pro-Hispanic just as those values are very pro-caucasian, pro-black, and pro-asian. Forgiving illegal behavior and allowing oppression to further thrive in the illegals’ home countries isn’t pro-anybody. However, if you believe your opposition’s propaganda and you don’t have a medium of communication of your own, you are defined by your opposition. The R party appears finished at the national level. The sooner a group of motivated Americans advances a political movement that also has a method of communicating to the broad American voting population and is out there speaking one-on-one with everybody, the sooner the Dem’s can be reigned in.

And, make no mistake about it, the Dem’s are very vulnerable. Many, many Americans are desperate for an alternative to the Dem’s. Most Americans have some common sense and would cheer a party that could let them know they are not alone and they are intelligent in their concern for the nation’s well-being. Many Americans, who are busy making a living, need some help from a responsible “American party”.

The steps in this process are fairly clear but the timing and development of support are somewhat less so.
