I definitely feel there is a war on private/commercial aviation. At times, I wonder if it's caused by commercial aviation lobbyists who know their customers are unhappy, and sometimes turning to alternate means.

I remember in the wake of 9/11, there was a serious effort to demonize private aviation, with all of the talk of small aircraft being used by terrorists, whether flying into buildings, or cropdusters. I've always wondered where that effort came from, because it had a definite feel that it was organized.
