Well I see beer cans and McDonalds wrappers thrown everywhere.
We have laws against littering.
Some here would beat up beer drinkers or consumers of fast food with taxes and bans, which misses the entire point of your gripe.
Littering is littering.
I see gum stuck all over sidewalks, should we ban gum?

Nobody wants to smell your disgusting smoldering garbage. Its worse than farting in a crowded elevator.
Maybe not worse, but just as rude and discourteous.

There were lots of experiments in people control going on at the time the “Surgeon General’s Report” was released. My feeling is it was an effort to determine whether Americans could be controlled into giving up their most common and widespread habit. If they could be controlled into doing that, they could be controlled into doing anything.

If I smoked I would be happy to drink or eat in a bar or restaurant that allows it but the anti smoking fascists strangely didn’t want to open non smoking establishments. They wanted it stopped everywhere.
If they knew the truth about me they would probably demand that I get a penis reduction surgery to make themselves feel better.

“it sure wasnt too appealing to have your sandy beach area be full of butts.”
The thing to do, then, is ban filter cigarettes. It’s the filters that seem to endure forever. A butt from an unfiltered cigarette can be field-stripped to nothing in a couple of seconds.

Funny that the people who brought about these smoking bans are pretty much the same people who now are pushing smoking pot as "medicine".
I guess as long as your smoke is politically correct, you're good.

I think these people need to move to NY. It sounds like its becoming their kind of paradise.

So, they want to prevent 40,000 deaths per year by stopping people from smoking while simultaneously advocating for the extermination of 3,340,000 innocent babies who never even touched a cigarette. In a liberal world, I’m sure this makes perfect sense ....... Except I'm not a liberal and can't begin to understand it.

Singapore did, back in the 1970s, and made it stick.
Draconian punishment woke the Singaporeans up, and they stopped chewin’ gum.

I don’t care who you are, that’s funny right there! I know how you feel, but that’s still funny. Why, oh why, are we so discriminated against....

Yeah, when they came for smokers I didn't smoke so I did nothing...
Do you do ANYTHING that you think is your business, but others might want to control? Good luck with your view being upheld.

Oh, chit. I guess the mods don’t recognize sarcasm. Or, maybe they actually support the nanny state. Hard to tell
