I’d love to see an armed “citizen militia” show up and guard the businesses.
The real Gov. would say nothing, this is all his fault.
Governor Scott, one time Tea Party angel, pushed this trial after knowing there was “no case.” He is on the Feds’ side in this, and we already know that the DOJ- the Feds, were spending money to promote demonstrations and worse before the arrest.
I suspect the sheriff making such pleas is unwittingly fomenting the very riots he says he wants to prevent.
And why are the PD’s in Broward, Dade and other areas are doing PSA’s advising the “peeps” in da’ hoods to “chill out” and not riot? Are they insinuating Blacks are more violent prone? That they need to be handled differently because they’re inferior? Are they agreeing with the klan, White supremacists, skinheads, etc? Who’s the REAL racists here?
It'll cost you some bucks ($200 Fed license, $75 to thread the barrel and $75 for the "adapter") but the simplicity - and availability, looks intriguing for any Ruger 10/22 owner (1:17): HERE.
As governor of the State of Florida, prior to the verdict, I would call up several units of the Florida National Guard to assemble at several rallying points near where estimates were that riots could happen. The units would be provided with a large number of high test nylon restraints, and would set up large tents where detainees would be kept.
Rioters who were detained by police and Sheriffs deputies would be turned over to the National Guard for processing, so they would not be overwhelmed. Those not arrested for criminal acts would be released after 48 hours, in small groups.
However, the riots will most likely occur in major cities, which tend to have lower ownership of firearms than more suburban or rural areas.
Yes - but a big difference this time ... this riot has been advertised for weeks. In the 1990’s Rodney King era - it was still basically a surprise - not to mention the 1960’s.... Today - every merchant, strip mall owner and home owner in Florida has had a chance to prepare - and the same across the nation ... Time to PREPARE is the operative phrase. There is not enough fire insurance to replace what Prevention can do. Prevention means less loss of money... Prevention means still open for business - even if other failed to Prepare ...
