Who wants to be the last one to die for someone who has no interest in winning.

I have contemplated many things as of late. I pray to God about them.

Why is He allowing Obama and evil to prosper? Why is He allowing our military, the one Federal institution and members who have sacrificed so much, to be attacked and strangled by our politicians of both parties? How is it that most of our country is STILL deceived about Obama? Why can't most Americans recognize that we need to return to God?

The only possible answer I have regarding our military is that God is allowing it to be destroyed by our own politicians and feckless leaders, because soon will come the day that Israel is attacked on all sides by her enemies, and the US will be too weak and too unwilling to come to her aid. Only God will. He may do that to prove to His people that He is really their God.

However, I also hear an answer to my prayers in my soul that says that God is not finished with America yet, and that our wicked and corrupt leaders have yet to feel His wrath on them for what they are doing, and what they have done.

I think our fate depends on how we deal with abortion. I think it all gets down to that. Either we enshrine the inalienable right to life in law — and stand by that law — or we don’t; if we don’t then the document and the nation that is built on it are shown to be just talk. Vapor.

We were told to expect 22 days of furlough beginning October until the 22 days are done. It is a shame and you are right that the GS-5 and 6’s are the ones really being hurt by this. The biggest problem is that you cannot attract people who are professional to work at the Naval Academy and other places if you tell them how much they will be paid and then say “Oh 20 percent will be subtracted from that total”. I know we have a hiring freeze right now but with all the retirement eligible people still hanging on, something is going to happen and it won’t be pretty. I can see it now. The retirees get frustrated.....the newbies get laid off and then nobody will be part of the DOD which some here would appreciate, but it would not be good. I am waiting for the contractors to get hit....they have been safe SO FAR....that won’t last.

Thank you and your dad for your service. Yep you did a huge service to your country and to the men and women in uniform. I can’t tell you how many times I have been in the Navy Exchange and had so many wonderful staff help me out....they still do today!

but I have to tell ya, I’m not saying I’ve heard from God on this, but I think it’s all over. We go from here through wholesale lawlessness to technototalitarianism and all that follows — suffering unparalleled in history for some while everyone else goes on buying, selling, marrying, and waxing rich.

You are correct, in all your assertions. Why would a President of the United States of America, employ such actions? Treason, is my only answer. High Treason, is when cooperation between separate branches of US Gov’t, are purpose driven to usurp the US Constitution, and the will of the People. Mr. Hagel is a mere errand boy, in the last twenty five years of Our decline. Someone to complain about, no doubt. Yet, the rot lies much deeper, than these present circumstances. Not much to be done, currently- except to ride it out.

Most often times (but not all), I try to be loyal to God and approach perplexing situations from His standpoint, and His Word to us.

I served in the military as a career, and the institution and the people that serve are still very much on my mind. I also think of the people in terms of all who serve: active duty, Guard, Reserve, civilian, and yes, contractor.

The military is being systematically torn to pieces. There have been three massive budget cuts since Obama took office in 2009, all supposed to be over ten years, but now they have overlapped into each other and are tearing the military apart. $330 Billion in 2009, $487 Billion in 2011, and now $650 Billion in 2013.

All I can deduce is that we are perhaps very, very close to a war against Israel (as prophesied in either Psalm 83 or the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39).

In order for God to accomplish His purpose, the US military must be either destroyed or too weak to respond. We are almost there. In just 5 short months, the Sequestration cuts have death a death blow to much of the once vaunted Dept of Defense.

Hagel and Obama both hate Israel.

That is no secret.

What they don't understand is that God is in charge.

"It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

Some contractors are seeing work dry up, and that will become a drought in a very short time.

There are no heroes in this Greek tragedy, only villains.

Obama is destroying the US military and fully funding his give away programs.

Hagel is using the DoD civilian workforce as whipping boys and girls, and as an ATM.

Congressional Republicans have also used the DoD as their piggy bank, and have abandoned the military - this is not your Ronald Reagan's Republican party.

You know how U-Haul trailers have pictures on them, showing something obscure from one of the states or Canadian provinces? Florida is represented by an Everglades orchid, for instance. For Nebraska, U-Haul shows a rhinoceros. Whenever I see one of those trailers, the rhino reminds me of RINO Chuck Hagel. I have felt that way since he was a senator.

Stop sending US troops off to fight pointless wars that don’t benefit America.

Problem solved!
