I’m most excited by this for the possibility of replacing plastic parts that break on consumer objects. The tab on your remote control’s battery compartment door break? Print a new one! Lost the lid to your favorite Tupperware container? Print a new one! Did the flow tab on your brand new coffee mug break, causing hot coffee to spill all over you in the car? Don’t throw that mug away! Print a new one!
This is actually a very exciting time in manufacturing.
