Actually, they have come up with a plan to tax people in the suburbs to pay for inner city schools. I haven’t seen it implemented anywhere yet, but it involves special redrawn districts that include areas where people are better off and purchasing their homes.

From what I have heard, some of our big city school districts spend more per capita on education than many suburban or small town school districts. Yet for all the money they spend, many of our big city school districts get some of the worst results.
This is all anecdotal evidence, but, it does suggest that lack of money is not really the biggest problem facing big city schools.
If somehow the UN feels that Chicago is violating UN standards, and school officials say they need more money, perhaps the UN can give them more money???
