In a major shakeup for the radio industry, Cumulus Media, the second-biggest broadcaster in the country, is planning to drop both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity from its stations at the end of the year, an industry source told POLITICO on Sunday. Cumulus has decided that it will not renew its contracts with either host, the source said, a move that would remove the two most highly rated conservative talk personalities from more than 40 Cumulus channels in major markets.

And replace with what?

Stupidest business decision ever.

Well, maybe except for the Hannity thing. That is a show on auto-repeat and informercial for his tv show later.

No surprise here.

This is a Romney agenda.

Apparently, all conservatives must AGAIN be taken out by Romney, Bain, Marriott,
Rove, the GOPe Impostors, and whoever controls them.

Rush and Hannity are probably the only reason their stations are doing as well as they are.

I think Rush has finally just given the heck up.

Can’t say I blame him. He has been the best for the GOP and they are just acting like Democrat Lite last several years.

A competing station in any market that’s dropped will pick up Rush and immediately pull the ratings from the Cumulus affiliate. Hannity may be a bit of a toss up.

Cumulus is the worst radio company ever.

They literally want to cut their budgets more than they want ratings.

from more than 40 Cumulus channels in major markets.

As I recall, Rush has over 500 stations nationwide and Hannity is not too far behind.

Yawwwn Politco. They can easily replace these 40 something stations

I will not pay for satellite radio that gives part of my fee to Howard Stern or Playboy
