There is a thicket of woods behind my house. I’m told an old lady lives there and wouldn’t sell it and never will. Some days a few cows will wander out of the woods. I’m afraid when she dies an apartment complex will spring up. And there’ll probably be Section 8. I’ll try to sell within a year or so. If Section 8 does start and I can’t sell, I’ll walk away.
I’m on the outskirts of Houston. I’ve read the black population is around 6%. But I’m starting to see more and more blacks at the stores than I’d see when I first moved here 4 years ago.
