Not sure where or why “triangular grid pattern” is used. Is this referring to three dimensional navigation? I flew airplanes and, although three dimensional, we used grid and square grid references. The article and all the graphs are a whole bunch of gobbledygook. Bet your last that many taxpayer dollars are spent on “stuff” like that!

Is it disorientated or disoriented?? Or both?
