Unrest in Egypt could turn into all-out bloodshed in coming days if efforts to find a political solution fail, U.S. Senator John McCain warned on Tuesday during a visit to Cairo.
Oh my God; I didnt know it was this bad. These folks are just days or weeks away from all-out bloodshed, McCain said during an interview in Cairo with CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley.
McCain and fellow Republican Senator Lindsey Graham met with Egypts new rulers as reports said the countrys military-installed government could soon announce that foreign efforts to mediate a peaceful end to the countrys political crisis were collapsing.

So, Egypt is on the verge of failing, exclaimed both meddlesome senators, but neither could define “fail.”
Congrats on what you and Barry did, mclame. Now fly to Aleppo, visit the bomb makers at your school yard factory, you ghoulish old goat. I hope Valerie Jarret gave you a nice reptilian lick before your trip.
Or on the verge of being remade in Sisi’s image.
I haven’t checked, but what’s happened to that Morsi character? The Egyptian Army didn’t make the mistake that the Venezuelan Army did, I hope.
good question
McCain and Graham discussing strategy on governing Egypt is like consulting Jimmy Carter on hostage rescue.
I say he should go and govern Egypt (he can even take Congress and his favorite 4 million of his public servants to help out).
mccain is a straight up idiot not to mention traitor...a running sore on the body of the senate and this country that should be excised asap...along with his runny discharge, graham. There isn’t enough antiseptic in the world to do the job that needs done inside and outside our government.
And this is news, *Senator*?
I think most of us not wrapped up in some Arab Spring pipe dream saw this coming the moment Mubarak was forced out.
He needs to get the common man's perspective in Egypt.
Spend some time mingling with the crowds, talking to shop keeps, eating coucous from street vendors, etc.
What was your first clue, Johnny?
They stand amid the ashes of an already failed policy and blame everyone else but themselves for that failure taking NO note of what the people trying to survive in those those ashes want or need. Madmen in a mad world.
I hate to suggest this...but we almost need a law that prevents Senators from traveling overseas....and limits them to only representing the state they came from. This ‘hollywood’ status that each of them have gained....makes every single one of them a joke.
As if he and Linda got anywhere near a riot, demonstration or anything else even slightly dangerous. He could’ve been briefed on the situation by the Egyptian embassy people in Washington just as easily without spending all that money.
Who will be causing the bloodshed? It wouldn’t happen to be the Brotherhood, would it?
Nonsense! We don’t need a law to prevent them from traveling overseas.
We need a law to keep them from coming back...
Why is it our business? To Hell with Egypt. Let them sort it out.
