A small Missouri town is looking for a man not suspected of a crime but, rather, a miracle.
I think that this time Ive actually witnessed a guardian angel at work, Jeremiah See of the New London Fire Department told ABC News.
An unidentified allegedly drunken driver hit Katie Lentz, of Quincy, Mo., head on Aug. 4 while traveling on Route 19 near Center, Mo., pinning the 19-year-old in the front seat of her convertible. With her vital signs failing fast, she asked rescue crews to pray with her.
Thats when first responders say a man who looked like a catholic priest seemed to appear out of nowhere, despite a 2-mile perimeter blocking the scene.
He began to pray and use the anointing oil, New London Fire Chief Raymond Reed said. There was a calmness that, to me, seemed to come over the entire scene.
But thats not the only seemingly divine detail. Firefighters say their equipment kept failing until the mystery man showed up.

It was Time traveler Single Seven from the future
(hey - prove me wrong!)
Guardian angels do appear at times, a testament to God’s love.
Wonder if he looked like a Catholic priest because he was dressed all in black and had a collar, or if he was just all in black...
If he was the latter (all black, no collar) he was someone different—angel.
I’m with your belief...this was a guy from another time and place. There is some higher calling for this young gal.
I believe I read he had a priests collar. A beautiful story for troubled times
Where'd he come from? Where'd he go?
Also, he was dressed in clericals, about 60ish in age, and carrying the RC priest's typical kit with anointing oils, which he used on the crash victim, at which point her vital signs started to improve. Several of the men in the rescue crew were Catholic, but nobody had ever seen this guy before. Inquiries at local churches yielded the same result: nobody knows.
The two hypotheses are angel, or bilocation. No reason why, but I vote for the latter. Who knows, we may have another "Padre Pio" on our hands.
Thank you, Jesus!
My thought?
We are so desirous of feel-good news we’ll glom on to anything that satisfies that desire.
Not to say we should be -so- clinical as to deny the action of God in all situations (He is, after all, in control) but really, take a look at the parable of the Good Samaritan and then show the world how that “friend of his neighbor” was sought after, feted and called a miracle worker; hint: you can’t.
I say, kudoes to this fine XPian who gave his neighbor conmfort in trying times. Let him go on and “settle his debts with the Inn-keeper” in due time.
Not to be a downer, but sometimes even a priest will prefer to remain anonymous. I’m betting he drove along, saw the accident, prayed, and continued on his way before anyone noticed he’d left. Good for him, as it makes us aware of God’s endless possibilities.
Roadblocks in both directions, coming and going.
It is also the result of her unfathomable trust and faith in her Savior. She is the epitome of a true believer for all to witness and emulate. It is as though her faith was so sincere and intense that it caused the personification of an angel to appear in this worldly dimension with a message of hope and calm. As it is written: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." I Peter 5:7.
Finally, a feel good internet story that appears to be true.
1. Reported by ABC news.
2. Testimony from several on scene first responder (credible) eye witnesses.
Yes, angels exist. Sounds like this was an angel. Unclear to me why he would appear as a Catholic Priest, unless it was so this angel would be publicly noticed and recognized.
More like this God, less toasted cheese sandwiches, dog butts, drop cloths, iron scorches, electric meters, and bird droppings. We need more miracles like the angel priest to combat the lunacy of these other (so called) “signs”.
Consider that a prayer, in Jesus name I pray.
Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
God is real. He performs miracles daily. Angels are real. God has a reason that He wanted this story to go viral.
I was thinking about that on the way to work. I figure a Catholic priest showing up at an accident site like that, he'd get instant respect. The emergency workers probably parted for him and let him walk right up to the victim, while Joe Schmoe would've been told to please stay back and let the rescue workers do their jobs. Just a guess.
The man could allegedly transcend time and space, appear out of nowhere and then disappear, but had to resort to rubbing oil to work his magic?
Just like Jesus rubbing mud on the eyes of the blind man and healing him. Not magic-- a miracle. They are two different things.
Roadblocks set up for a priest?
Is it possible that this guy just walked into the corn field and “disappeared?” Field of Dreams.....
