JERUSALEM (AP) -- The Israeli military shot down a rocket launched toward a Red Sea resort town near the border with Egypt on Tuesday, the army said.

It was the first time Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system successfully intercepted a rocket attack on the resort of Eilat, the military said. The incident came after days of heightened tension along the Egypt-Israel border.

The army said the rocket was intercepted early Tuesday and that there were no injuries. It didn't provide more details and declined to comment on the origins of the projectile.

An al-Qaida-inspired militant group based in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, Ansar Jerusalem, claimed responsibility for launching the rocket in an email to The Associated Press. T

Sounds bad for Israel, and it will be. Until they call out for help from Someone stronger.

Let's face it, nobody is going to help the Israelis, after all, they're Jews.

The world turns a blind eye to the honest and already old warnings coming from Netanyahu about Iran.

Years ago they warned the world about terror. From 1920-2013, the Jews have been forced to confront things most other societies do not have to, namely primitive, bloody Barbarism, (recently, the Brits got a small taste on the streets of London), all the while trying to maintain a viable, stable Democracy. Nobody has to do this. WWII doesn't count because everybody suffered, especially the targeted Jews.

I am talking post-WWII Arabic and Islamic barbarism. Most of the victims of that barbarism have been Arab Muslims themselves as we see now all over the Arab world. Some things never change.

Israel from time to time has to take matters into their own hands, like now. Israel knows that Obama has no red lines and his “options on the table” are really place mats and doilies.
Obama has followed the “Clintonian Nuclear policy” on North Korea with sanctions up the a** that HAVE NO EFFECT ON THE TARGETED COUNTRY at all. North Korea and Iran will let their people eat gravel but WILL OBTAIN THE BOMB NO MATTER WHAT unless, Israel can set them back in their plans. No HIP Nobel PEACE prize winning President is going to attack anybody.

Obama is disrespected in EVERY SINGLE country now except in the US and the Blue states. The US has no leverage whatsoever to carry out a Foreign Policy anymore and he has made the US the laughing stock of the planet so...
the Israelis are alone and unchained...

Yours is a good assessment and I agree with it. I was alluding Israel’s future calling out for help to The Lord God Almighty. Sorry I was so oblique.

I don’t suppose we will find out if it was one of the four hundred missiles that were “lost” at the time of the Benghazi atrocity, which I read about on a different thread.

I’m not sure how to do a bump to the top but I would like to hear if the Sinai missile launch has a connection to those “lost” missiles from the Benghazi 9/11 fiasco with all the CIA agents on the ground trying to “find” (ahem - deliver) them.

Many Jews are always calling for G-d to intervene in the affairs of foolish men...

There’s a bumper sticker in Israel that says:

“We can only trust our Father in Heaven”

When you see how the politics work in that region, you realize that G-d is working overtime over there.
