This is why I never pay with a credit card in a restaurant anymore, unless it’s at the cash register.

Right!. Last December, at The Irish Pub in Destin, FL, I embarrassed the heck out of our daughter, when I asked the waiter where he was going to swipe the card. It was out of sight, so I got up and walked there with him--told him I never let it out of my sight. Daughter was Sooooo embarrassed, but I told her to get over it.
Bottom line, I never let it out of sight.

I’m ready to start doing this in restaurants where I can’t see and follow my credit card being taken to the cashier.
Basically every adult member of our family have had credit fraud after eating in a restaurant and handing it to a wait person and not being able to watch where it went.
