Comrade Dictator Obama don't need no steenking congress.

That's right...as long as he has RE-Education Secretary Arne Duncan - pal of Ayers and Soros - heading up the *camps*.

It's for the cheeeeldren, you see.

These bastards are not missing any opportunity to destroy our heritage, by making us the most tightly controlled people in human history.

Agreed. However, they are making points with the public by emphasizing the research that shows young children get a boost in IQ if they have a rich environment.

My Montessori school has taught preschoolers to read for many years. We frankly tell the parents that public schools turn out too many kids with reading problems and they need to plan ahead to avoid that.

Unless they hear it from one of the Kardashians, they couldn’t care less.

Two obvious points:

Certainly mental stimulation from an early age is beneficial.

Secondly, much of the research that shows a relationship between social environmental factors & positive qualities of any sort, fails to address what is cause & effect and what are parallel effects from an unstated cause. The most obvious example of the unstated cause--unstated because of the insane compulsion driven lunacy caused "Politically Correctness"--is that people create their own social environment. Thus the children of those with higher levels of intelligence will tend to achieve at higher levels in those areas that require higher levels of intelligence. The primary factor being genetic, not nurture. This is not to say that good nurture is not beneficial.

Of course, the saddest thing is that the Leftists (the egalitarian collectivists) really do not 'give a damn," about what really helps anyone. They are far more into playing the Blame & Envy Game, to exploit those who have problems. In the instance of getting control of the children early, the real purpose is not to enrich the stimulation of little children, but to condition young statists by destroying any family influences that might get in the way.

Your approach, working with the families should be applauded. Programs decreed from the new Federal "Olympus" should be resisted.
