This is the same virulent family of viruses that are carried by fruit bats and cause havoc in Indonesia and Australia in horses. The horses affected with the Morbillivirus die within twelve hours and are highly infectious. Man catches the virus from the horse and since the disease is so rapid it doesn't spread quickly.
