As I've stated elsewhere on this forum many times, I have infinitely more confidence in Mark Levin and the CATO Institute than I do in legions of internet sea lawyers and bloggers.

If Ted Cruz decides to run for the Presidency and he appears to be the strongest conservative running, I will support him to the hilt. He's one of the few conservatives in the Senate who actually has the balls to stand up for conservatism and against Obama and the GOP-e RINOs. This is a battle for the survival of America as a free nation. If we allow the democrats and the GOP-e statists to select our next opposition candidate for us, ie, Chris Christie or Jeb Bush, this nation is kaput.

We stand united or we fall. We cannot afford to destroy our best candidates or to split our conservative vote to the point that the likes of Christy or Bush gets the nod and someone like Hillary waltzes into the White House.

Supporting the "electable" Dole, McCain and Romney gave us Clinton and Obama. Supporting the crazy conservative gave us President Reagan.

Cruz has my primary vote if he runs! I can’t stomach having a POS RINO being forced on me again. Cruz is the real deal and just what America needs.

Reagan was the antidote to Carter.
Cruz could be the antidote to Obama.

From what i have heard of Cruz and what little i know about him i would vote for him over any liberal even if he was born in Africa.

I did not vote against Obama because of being convinced he was not an American, i voted against him because i believed he was un American, big difference.

By the same token i would vote for Cruz because he is American even if he is not an American.

The arguments on citizen ship are confusing and i respect the people who want to get it right.

But where were they at when some of the much easier to understand questions were being circulated, where were they at when the state of Alabama was forced to remove the ten commandments from the state capital?

Where are they at when the police say you must have a permit to carry a fire arm, and a half dozen other things that are so obviously against the constitution.

Where are they at when the police break into private homes or attacks a mother who only has issues with the school and they do this with a tank or armored cars?

If any of you REALLY want to know what you are talking about when it comes to NBC, you MUST read this comprehensive and definative essay on the subject. It is very long, that’s why it’s “comprehensive”.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2840767/posts

I can’t read 800 posts to see if this was already addressed or not. Also it has been posted on previous occasions and you may have seen it. I implore you to take the time to actually read the whole thing. It’s dry at times and harder for non-lawyers like me, but it is the best and I would say indisputable proof of what a natural born Citizen is.

He covers EVERYTHING! You could not read and understand this essay without knowing exactly what a natural born Citizen is and ALWAYS was, WITHOUT A DOUBT. Original intent, case law, natural law, common law, British law, constitution, amendments, framers, founders (Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, James Madison, David Ramsay, George Mason), historians, dictionaries, definitions & meanings, law books, treatises and cases, Vattel validated, legal principles of the Supreme Court, and on & on.

I thought I knew alot about this issue, but I was blown away by the depth to which (screen name, sourcery) has gone to prove the meaning and intended and actual constitutional meaning of natural born Citizen (and citizens of all stripes for that matter).

I hope you know, Jim, that Cato came out for fake marriage.

The Constitutional Requirements:

Office Citizenship Age Residency (or years citizen)
Commander in Chief natural born Citizen 35 14 years resident
Senator Citizen 30 9 years a Citizen
Represantative Citizen 25 7 years a Citizen

Sen. Ted Cruz - A native of Canada.

Born in a foreign country. [1]

Born with foreign citizenship. [2]

Born owing allegiance to that foreign country. [3][4]

Born a U.S. citizen due exclusively to his mother meeting the specific requirements in the congressional law in existence at the time of his birth. [5]

Foreign born Sen. Ted Cruz is a U.S. "citizen" by congressional statute.
Congress does not have the Constitutional authority to make laws determining who may be a "natural born Citizen."

Cruz is doing amazing work in the Senante, but he's no "natural born Citizen."

I'll stick with the likes of Rep. John Bingham and his definition of a "natural born Citizen" that was never contested in the House during the mid to late 1800's, over that of an opinion by Ilya Shapiro at the CATO institute.

If Barack Hussein can be president so can Ted Cruz or so can Vladimir Putin, for that matter, or anyone else in the world.

The problem with Cruz is that his candidacy would only be about his eligibìty. MSM and the Democrats would not allow any other subject to be aired. He cannot win because most voters will think it is the only issue there is for him.

I voted for him here in Texas and I would GLADLY vote for him to be president.

The thing is the voting majority is cowardly and stupid. Ted tells it like it is, so the voting majority gets scared and they can't comprehend a “fix” that will induce misery across the board. Bottom line, Ted or Rand produces to much stark reality and truth for the voting majority to handle.

We as a nation are in for a long line of weak and pathetic leaders like Obama. He is a reflection of the majority

The Constitution, and it’s QUITE PLAIN MEANING in Article II, is clearly dead. I’m very, VERY sorry about that.

Cruz is a Cuban, Canadian, American citizen and is not a Natural Born Citizen. This old vet will NOT support or vote for him as President or Vice President.

Never, No how, No way!!

JR, that is your best post ever IMO.
Romney waltzed in by dividing the more conservative voters.
Santorum and Newt fought to the bloody end.
I hope the lesson was learned and not forgotten in 2016.
This country is literally on the brink if Hillary or other
leftist wins in 2016.

So far I’m quite impressed with Ted Cruz. All things considered, he would be my choice for President, too! At least we’d finally get someone we wouldn’t have to hold our collective noses for to vote.

Republicans need not worry about being embarrassed when Cruz debates Hillary or Biden. If I didn’t detest both of them so much, I could almost feel sorry for whichever commie loser gets that chore.

Peter King, a Republican representative from NY, was on TV this morning with a tirade against Republican Senator Ted Cruz.

The tirade prompted me to donate to SarahPac and, hopefully, help remove Peter King from Congress.

PS: Get well soon, Jim
