I'm not questioning the concept that the Administration doesn't know WTF is going on in Syria and is siding with our enemy (AQ in Syria). I'm not questioning that the Administration is lying. What I am wondering is when we, here at FR, started using sources like the Tehran Times? Why not post an article from TASS or Pravda next?
Even this second post of yours quotes Syrian state TV as a source.
I guess this guy wasn't available for comment

No. That was from Russia Today. Russia is Iran's ally through Iran's unofficial membership in the SCO. Russia has supplied Iran with anti-aircraft weapons to defend its nuclear facilities from U.S. air attacks.

One source is the Russians.
The other just says she wasn’t sure if it was Bashir Assad. There has been speculation that it could have been his brother. Doesn’t make any difference
