USA Today gets it wrong (again)

Note mentions an AK47 as an "assault rifle" when it was really a plain civilian semi-automatic rifle. Also refers to "high capacity clips" when what was really involved was standard capacity magazines.

Why would anyone believe/trust a "news" organization that cannot be bothered to get their terminology correct. Do they bother checking facts? There's no reason to believe they are any more diligent in that regard.

It’s all just “fake but accurate” on a grand scale. Sure, the media gets most of the facts wrong, but they get the really important stuff right: Conservatives and Christians are evil and stupid.

I don’t believe these types of things are mistakes, I believe they are deliberate lies.

Exactly, and the lies are intended to emit anger from the reader.
