A couple says their dog sniffed out a baby abuser in their home, the woman who was supposed to be caring for their seven month old son.
The babysitter, 22-year-old Alexis Khan pleaded guilty to assault and battery Monday afternoon in Charleston County Circuit Court.
Benjamin and Hope Jordan hired Khan to babysit their son Finn last year after they moved to Charleston. They say Khan came up clean in a background check...
"About five months into her being our baby sitter, we started to notice that our dog was very protective of our son when she would come in the door," Jordan said...
[The couple placed] an I-phone under the couch and let the phone record what happens while they were at work.
When the couple got home, they listened to the tape and were horrified what they heard.
"It started with cussing," Jordan said. "Then you hear slap noises and his crying changes from a distress cry to a pain cry. I just wanted to reach through the audio tape, go back in time and just grab him up."
"To know that five months I had handed my child to a monster, not knowing what was going on in my house for that day," said Jordan.

Good dog.
Good doggy!
I hidden camera is fine for CATCHING someone but a visible camera is good at PREVENTING things
Keep that in mind when you are considering surveilance cameras
Bank tellers and cashiers are discouraged from stealing because they know there are comeras watching them at all times.
I had a family member who owned a store- she spent half her time in the court trying to prosecute shoplifters until I told her to stuck the video cameras right in their face - real AND fake ones.
Her shoplifting losses cut down dramatically.
Do you want to CATCH someone injuring your child or PREVENT your child from being injured?
Khan, huh?
Great advice! Stops the problem before it starts.
Very good point.
Doggie hero ping!
Democrats.
As a side benefit, the thief would usually turn away from the FAKE camera overhead and rather obviously stuff something in their purse right in front of the HIDDEN LIVE camera, which made it easier to catch them on the way out the door- the video evidence made it so she rarely even had to go to court too.
And she did prosecute every single one she could
I’ll probably catch hell for this but perhaps the parents need to reorder their priorities with regard to caring for their son.
People are far too willing to leave their kids with strangers. Background check or not.
That's what I said when I saw the story on TV last night. Probably a Muslim....no wonder the dog didn't like her. Animals know.
We don’t call police very often from where I am from.
This is one incident where we deffinetly would not want the police involved.
I agree with you. It sounds like the dog was the only one with straight priorities.
I had one of those old “eyeball” type webcams that mount on top of a monitor.
I never ever used it so I mounted it in the corner of my livingroom ceilling. It looks completely legit.
The teenage daughter that I have left that still lives with us hates that thing. She thinks I can log on from work and see whats happening in the house. Its great.
excellent advice - this is sounding a little like some personal jihad going on...just saying.
I wish all the mamas with babies out there would just stay home with them until they are ready for school. Then men can be fully employed once again & make enough money so that you don’t need to work.
...waiting for the krackens to be unleashed on that one...
Paste a bunch of those around the house
They dont need to be attached- people just have to THINK they are attached
They even make them with a battery that lasts forever that beeps a red light to make it look live
Well this is what happens when one salary can’t support a family and the Mother goes out to find another source of income. Don’t give me the working mother crap either. Your kid is a full time job, being a mom is a full time job.if you can’t raise them don’t have them.
