The Left also sincerely believes that rhetorical questions make an unbeatable point. However, they presume that every question that isn't immediately answered is a rhetorical question. With both China and Russia looking to take a top spot on the global stage, this even was a huge help for them. Further, our position as a leader in the Middle East has been greatly damaged, and we may not have the influence to intervene in important situations in the future because of it. Smaller nations may simply start looking to China and Russia for solutions in the future, because America's leaders are currently proving themselves to be unable to take the lead role in important strategic political struggles.
