Quite the contrary. He's hoping not to have to even engage in the conversation.
Just like the labels that the left uses; "racist" and "homophobe", Gore is hoping to turn the accusation of "global warming skeptic" into a hammer that ends all logical debate and saves the hapless leftists from having a meaningful debate.
