Were you alluding to the 1986 California Republican US Senate primary, won by Ed Zschau, who went on to lose to incumbent Democrat Alan Cranston? Who were the two Republican Jewish ladies Zschau defeated?

Yes, I was referring to Zschau--as in Mao. His two opponents I referred to are Bobbi Fiedler and Roberta Lynn Weintraub. However, they finished poorly, partly because they cut each other up. The runner-up to Zschau in that crowded primary was Bruce Herschensohn.
