bait and switch is just free market to you?
My parents got caught by Wilson Meats bait and switch back around 1960. They advertised a side of beef at a really good price then when they got in to select their side, it was really crummy looking and they decided to get the choice grade.
They actually ended up getting a prime half as it was the same price as the choice, mainly because there was a lot more waste on the prime. I will say it was the best beef I have ever had.
No, is NOT just free market to me but I have been shopping in my many years, called to the stores for sales.
Believe it or not, NOT all stores have what they advertise. I know that may be hard for you to fathom...and do forgive my cynicism.
Store folks SWEAR that it's not bait and switch but "sold out." And, maybe the sale was so good that all the good stuff WAS sold out. Who really knows.
