In one of the most memorable images to emerge from inside the Nairobi mall attacked last weekend by Islamic extremists, a 4-year-old girl is seen running toward a man who is reaching out a hand to pull her to safety.
The man was Abdul Haji, a 39-year-old real estate executive who rushed to the mall as the attack got underway. He managed to evacuate scores of people to safety, including that young American girl, Portia Walker, and is being hailed in Kenya as a hero.

Haji says he grew up around guns and lately had been carrying his pistol with him. "I left where I was and I headed straight to the Westgate," Haji told ABC News. "Luckily on that particular day I had actually carried my licensed gun with me so I didn't have to go back home to waste time and pick up a gun, I went straight to the mall."

When I was in college, it was easy to pick up from a distance which blacks were from Africa, and which blacks were born in America. The African black was always smiling and happy.
Culturally, very very different. Kenyans are more British than American — they have so many different types of people, just like we do. I wouldn’t want to live there - it sounds like a hard place with ideas of street justice trumping the rule of law. The society seems to be divided into haves and have-nots.
I was at a leftist college, and a few Kenyans were nearly my only friends - they were evangelical Christians who also loved Reagan and Republicans. Go figure.
They didn’t sit with the kids at the black table.
It must have been so strange for them.
Now THIS is a Abdul that I can say that I am proud of..so wait, did the liberal media actually report that concealed carry actually saved lives here..but but, how can that be, according to the media guns are naughty..God Bless you Abdul for doing the right thing, God was protecting him that day, he is a hero
