Apropos of nothing, but the WWII monument is a real letdown compared to the Korea and Vietnam monuments.
The veterans were not done justice.

You’re absolutely right, veterans are not being done justice.
Your suggestion, CCg, is dead on the mark. The veterans there should force them to remove barrycades from all.

I agree. I have been there several times and it is so huge and complex that it is incoherent. The simplicity of the Iwo Jima memorial is much more powerful.
I was one of the Vietnam veterans who was very opposed to the wall before it was built. Once I saw it in person I knew it was the perfect memorial. It was overwhelming emotionally, but very dignified physically.
