I wonder who all they spoke to before changing their minds about it being a hate crime. He called the victim, "cracker". All it would take a for a white person to be charged would be to say "n*gger". Heck, Paula Deen practically got accused of a hate crime for saying the word to a man holding the gun to her head!

There's going to be a backlash before this is all over with, and it won't be pretty. When the law repeatedly puts its thumb on the scales of justice against you, you eventually have no choice but to resort to other recourses.
