Really hard to figure out that ideal spot between too much credit and insufficient credit history because you don’t live on credit, particularly as you age beyond 65 and your score goes down anyway.

Well my Mom is 82 owns her home and does not drive so for her it does not matter, unlike most of us.

yep, it is called give grandma and grandpa no insurance coverage because of low credit score because grandma and grandpa lived on what they grew on the land and paid cash for everything else. Refuse them (grandma and grandpa) insurance after Medicare and, Medicaid are rolled into zer0care. Don't worry, there are no death panels. This is proved fact everyone. zer0 said so ... and we all know zer0 never lies.
