BTW. NONE of my ancestors where in the country prior to the late 1880’s. They where fleeing the oppression of the British I Ireland and the Kaiser in Germany. They had been starved, beaten and taken advantage of since the days of the Roman Empire and decided that a clean break and an ocean voyage was better than a continued existence under the boot of their oppressors.

Ditto. Got plenty of frequent-flyer miles that I won't use up anyway. They have to shred their U.S. passport at the destination, though, before they can claim any luggage.
