On Friday, after blaming conservatives like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the Obama administration's mishandling of military death benefits, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said Cruz simply did not represent the GOP.
Fox News host Martha MacCallum mentioned that Cruz would be visiting President Barack Obama along with other Republican senators like Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT), and Marco Rubio (R-FL) at the White House on Friday.
She asked McCain, "How do you feel about him representing you there?"
In response, McCain smirked before saying, "First of of all, Martha, please, he's not representing us there."
Also in the interview, McCain said conservatives were as much to blame for the problem regarding the military death benefits as Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.

I don’t know what is holding her back.
McCain is the most useful tool in the Democrats tool box.
What would be the best timing for this, I wonder. I’m not politically savvy, but there have to be some times that are better than others, to disavow any knowledge of McCain.
Guess what? You don’t repersent me John mclame
I don’t think McLame is sailing with the same wind we are!
He’s representing texans very well. Even those who didnt vote for him
John McCain putting the training he received in the Hanoi Hilton to good use in order to once again be the best useful idiot he can be.
I did see this and it made me feel nauseous just listening to him. It wasn’t just what he said, it was his body language, derision and smirking while he was talking about Cruz.
Really, ...he was acting just like the demonrats when they mock the conservatives. It truly is sickening.
Earth to McCain. Earth to McCain. SHUT UP!!!!!
Good, I am glad he doesn’t represent you and your cohorts but represents the American people instead.
McCain doesn’t even pretend to represent the people.
I read her book and she mentioned how McCain's campaign kept sabotaging her. I always wondered if she realized they weren't doing anything without McCain's approval.
Thats right, someone should tell McStain, the way this works is that Senators represent the states that elect them. Not Syria and Egypt and everyone else.
He may not be representing RINO closet liberals like YOU McCain, but he is doing a fine job of representing ME and other REAL conservatives.
Sarah Palin, I understand full well you have been 100% loyal to John McCain, because of all the people in America he alone stood forward and nominated you for United States Vice President.
I understand this, and I have defended you here on this board from criticism that you were reluctant to attack McCain.
I get it. I agree with you. But please isn’t there a way to say something?
Please. McCain needs to be shut up.
Say something please.
Thanks.
McCain needs to go back to Hanoi for a touch-up on his mechanism.
Thanks for your great work on FR.
Thanks for that, John. You probably cost the Republican Party a couple of million, at least.
“If the GOPe caves, it will move, in my eyes, from a party I left, to a party I fight.”
Me too.
Someone phoned McCain, and said, “The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, and I have promises to keep...”
McCain is correct: Ted Cruz doesn’t represent the East Coast liberal Rockefeller wing of the Republican Party. And he’s certainly doesn’t represent the mindless sort of Republican who still thinks McCain is anything other a corrupt, dimwitted, unprincipled, praise-seeking politician. McCain thinks that being a quisling to his party makes him a maverick.
Last night I wrote Ted Cruz a note of support for his fine work in representing Texans in the US Senate. I’ve never done that before, but Ted Cruz deserves it for the stand he has taken over the past few weeks.
You are the one not representing us Juan ... depending on who “us” is. Ted Cruz is doing exactly what we the people want.
