Would love to see a line item breakdown of the $60k number. Regardless, It's a number that Tennessee should pay and then sue to recover when this thing resolves. But, obviously we move slowly here.

Time to get rid of Federal Parks.

When this is over the states should demand that the national parks be returned to the states. The federal government has no business owning more than half of some states.

What a country. Now the states have to pay the government to open parks owned by the taxpayers who have already paid...and then have to pay fees to enter. After UT taxpayers kicked out millions to open Zion for 10 days, we went there yesterday. I asked the “ranger” if nobama would “let us in now”. The government drone didn’t think that was funny. In the park we met some Chinese tourists. One of them spoke English. I suggested to them that they not let nobama “push them around”. When he translated to his friends, they all laughed. LOL.

The state should take it back and fund needed services through user fees or something.

I’ve got a state park passport tag on my MI. license plate.

What a great opportunity for the 2014 Congress to gift these federal lands to the states they’re in.

Never again will the people’s property be closed to the people.

Wow. Who knew that letting mountains lie, and bears sh*tting in the woods cost $60k/day.

No telling what the Grand Canyon or Meteor Crator cost to keep open. I’d be they are just a hair trigger from closing up /do I need it?

I would guess it is not to hard to calculate.

$60, 000 x 365 = $21,900,000 the annual Smokies budget

All this is an example of FED “Blackmail” Pay to keep open a park that does NOT need any staff. I say shut down the white house and save a lot of $$$.

Big mistake! Numbers are not feelings or emotions. They are subject to quantification and verification thru audit.

Where is the $60,000 per day going? How is it being spent? How are the disbursements supported?

Why should Tennessee send the feds any money. They should instead send them a bill.
