I had a discussion with someone that Obama might have wanted the shutdown for the first few weeks of the site roll out so that the Obamacare enrollment problems could be blamed on the shutdown.

Unbelievable!

There will be billions spent over the next years to get this fiasco working.

In the early days of the Data Processing Industry there were some Classic busts of major companies spending years and going thru enormous money and manpower to get much simpler database applications working.

From those efforts ...cam the efforts to condense time to meet deadlines by throwing 9 men at a project that represented 9 man months to finish....thus theoretically gating it done in one month.

>Professional Project Managers Know this little scheme WELL by ignorant top level executives.(Politicians would be even less understanding)

Former official: Admin refused to bring in outside help for ObamaCare website for fear GOP would subpoena them...and today Carney didn't want to get nto a discussion of a meeting on Benghazi with James Rosen because it would provide a segment on Fox News - how pathetic is an administration that determines its policies and practices based on avoiding problems with their political adversaries rather than on what's best for the country????.....

They also stole an open source, limited database to drive it.

Seems like the contract would have provided “shovel ready jobs” to the US IT sector - but he doesn’t want people to have jobs so it had to be outsourced where it became a shovel-ready failure.

It's like I posted earlier tonight.

That's practically saying that Republicans forced Democrats to become intractable, for fear that they would open themselves up to criticism or appear weak to their own base if they gave in on a point or two in the name of "compromise."

In other words, just the existence of Republicans forces Democrats to do the things they do, which is why it's always the Republicans' fault.

Several congressional hearings were held to brief and updtate congress on the readiness of Obamacare. Sebelius herself attended many along with her staff. Congress was more preoccupied with bloviating of themselves than to ask for proof or ask for beta testing results of any system, in fear they would prove their own ignorance.

Sebelius gave assurances, but nobody of either party asked for a demonstration, fishbone chart, or beta testing run analysis.

We elected congress to trust but VERIFY! I do not blame Sebelius. She and Obama just abused congressional ignorance. They were more interested in assurances that congress and staff would be exempt from the processes and personal costs.
