Movement-conservative icon, author, and direct-market pioneer Richard Viguerie threw down the gauntlet to establishment Republicans and the GOP leadership Tuesday, charging that conservatives "have been betrayed, abandoned by our leaders, and that includes Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Kevin McCarthy, [and] Reince Priebus at the Republican National Committee."

Viguerie and other grass-roots conservative leaders are warning that Republicans who voted to end the shutdown on terms favorable to President Barack Obama and the Democrats will face major primary opposition in 2014.

I see a bloodbath for GOP period.
They get the blame for shutting down the government to try to head off a vastly unpopular program, then squander any good will they might have earned by caving in. Why should anyone vote for a bunch of milquetoasts and wimps like that?

Unfortunately, these young people to which you refer and millions of others, have been educated (or not) by the evil NEA!

Millions of bible believing Christians and devout Jews, have ignored warnings about the true intentions of the government-run schools in the hands of anti-American, anti-family values, atheist NEA, and now their own children are the "beneficiaries" of that evil institution.

These young people have been saturated on sex (perverted at that) and all forms of hedonism. If you don't believe me, just pick up any one of the books "recommended" by the government run libraries!

We've gotten the product of people who weren't shy about telling us that if we gave them our children from age 5 or 6 for 8 hours a day, 12 years, they would turn them into what they desire for the future - and they have!

The meme that business donors are not donating to house races is BS. Wall street never donated to flyover country. Business only buys senators.

(see john mccain running as pet rino again in 2016)

Republicans need to

1. take over the primaries.

2. DO NOT STAY HOME ON ELECTION DAY.

3. do not vote, or listen to 3rd pary trolls, for dead end sacrificial anode parties. (for those in rio linda those are parties and candidates used to dilute the power of conservative votes. ie fred thompson, mike huckabee...)

If it were my bet, I'd bet that the Republican Establishment has become very confused over the meaning of ‘establishment/elite’ and ‘conservative’.

These GOPe appeasing RINOs and the pundits, pollsters and campaign operatives are still wetting their whistles from that cash still coming into GOP coffers, and they hope for more. That's why there's a big, big disconnect.

The RINO elitists are bombarded, pampered and boosted every day in the DC environ that seeks to keep them in an appeasing mood. They are confirmed! They are bolstered! They are assured! All around tell them ‘real conservatives’ out there don't like the Tea Party. They are renegade jihadists that are willing to walk into a committee hearing, the House or Senate floor, or a poll station and just blow it the f@ck up along with everyone else. They are mad - crazy and have to be defeated, even before their masters, the Democrats.

The truth is they know nothing about values, honor, responsibility or tradition. They don't know what sovereignty means, they don't know what ‘backbone’ means. They just know status quo and ‘what me worry? They are going to find out the meaning of 'conservative' come November of next year. It will be an electoral bloodbath for them.

“I think we’re stuck with John until 2016,
where he’ll suddenly show up on our doorstep with conservative “flowers”...”

Yep, that’s been his SOP for pre-election time. I saw a scroll on FNC last night that said McLame was considering running again in 2016 for his 6th term - - he’ll be 80 then. I don’t care if he’d be 60 then, it’s way past time for this “Maverick” (e.g., Dims are my friends across the aisle) to GO!

million Tea Partiers contributing $100 each = $200 million.

I plan to donate much more than that in next years elections. The question is, who do we donate to? I've been getting emails from all kind of folks calling themselves Tea Party who I never heard of before. I'll be donating directly to candidates unless I can figure out which PACs to support.

Maine’s ultra-RINO Susan Collins just got a democrat challenger a couple of days ago. One thing I know, I will not be able to cast a vote for Collins.

The immediate, “crisis level” fight for the Tea Party is in the Virginia senatorial race.

Let me second that! Cuccinelli is getting creamed on TV. MacAuliffe's ads and the Planned Parenthood ads are on every commercial break, hour after hour. Cooch needs our help! Anyone with a couple of dollars to spare (tough in this obama economy)please consider sending a donation to his campaign!

Shutting down the government was stupid. No goal...defund... then delay...then...vitter amendment...then medical devise tax. Then what? Default for....why?
It was a trap set by Valerie Jarrett and Obama. Tea party Republicans walked into a one /two combo and got flattened.

What if you had a third party and you voted Rubio in on the ticket? What’s to stop him from voting with the Dems later after he’s elected? Worrying about the party label doesn’t have much purpose to me. You just have to elect the right people and hold their feet to the fire or vote them out when necessary. None of that’s going to change based on what party label they run under. However I would agree with donating money only to separate conservative candidates or groups, not to the Republican party, since we can’t trust their leadership to support the right candidates.

The mistake was in not sticking to one clear demand. If they had held firm, then Obama would’ve been forced to the negotiating table and only then should any compromise have been considered. It was a staring contest and the Republicans blinked repeatedly. They showed weakness by making concessions before getting anything in return, so the Dems knew they’d cave in the end and didn’t have to negotiate.

Do we have a good lineup of primary choices?

I thought I read recently where there aren’t many conservatives stepping up to the plate for primary season. Yes it’s still early and yes, one must assume MSM duplicity in such a story. But still.

We can’t take out the trash if the garbage truck isn’t rolling.

The democrats/socialists started the indoctrination of our children 40 years ago in every public school in the country.
Sodomy is normal, marriage is old fashioned, women can do anything a man can do, mentally AND physically. The US has been the oppressor of people all over the world and we are evil and must apologize (and before Obamagabe is done, give reparations to blacks). Rich people are bad. There is nothing wrong with killing your baby if you get pregnant, afterall it’s not a human till it’s born. Christianity is fake, etc, etc. And only the all-powerful US government can correct all these ills. I would be willing to bet that 90% of these indoctrinated little robots will vote democrat for the next 20 years. THAT is what’s facing conservatives in the republican party.

You've got it.

That and the country should be open to anyone who wants to come in and take whatever they want, and the government (they actually don't know who that is, as in "Obama stash") will give them FREE education, healthcare, housing, etc!

You are right on whom these "skulls full of mush" will vote, if they bother but none of them want to work for anything, after all,it's their "right!"

All they seem to know is what they think are their "rights" never their responsibilities, even those who go into the military, they think it's OK to permit gays to act openly and live right along with them.

I have the same question.. Which Tea Party organization is best? I think some are frauds and send money on to RINO republicans, so I want to be very, very careful. If one is endorsed by Jim Robinson, Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin I would go with that. Any thoughts? Ted Party Express is mentioned on the front page of FR - maybe that's the one to go with?

And, they simply aren’t teaching true American history. A lot of kids these days are completely cut off from our wonderful past. How can we blame them and call them idiots, when that is what they’ve been taught?

We should blame their parents, their schools and their churches. They are responsible for their ***actions*** of course, but their ***ideas*** about history and our country were taught to them.

Men have been so afraid of being called names (racist, sexist, homophobe, old fashioned, etc) the last 40 years, that they’ve allowed our society to completely erode. Women are equally to blame for not supporting men more in standing up to the liberals when they started calling names. Conservatives should have just said, yeah, - so what? And proceeded to show strong opposition to every communist thing taught in our schools and our textbooks and in the teaching universities. Cut off funding of the state universities if needed. Gut them!

Free and independent Americans were taught for 100+ years in little plain schoolhouses using McGuffey readers. They were taught the basics (Laura Ingalls Wilder memorized the entire U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence in school, and could quote by heart much of the history of the USA.) They also learned the Bible in public schools. Oh the horror - they didn’t have church and state separated!!!!

Kids got a good basic education for the cost of the little schoolhouse, some simple books and a teachers salary of $20/month (not sure what that equates to in our money, but I’m sure not even a fraction of what school districts spend today.)

For that, they got young men and women who had morals, a work ethic, and were ready to build homes and start families by 17 or 18 years old, not perpetual adolescents who are not ready to grow up at 30.

Sigh...

If what viguerie said were true, this whole guvmint shutdown debacle would have taken place just before the 2014 election. By the time of the next election, so many low-information voters will have forgotten about it that they’ll vote in RINOs, once again. CINOs are in charge.

I just heard an insider familiar with the Cuccinelli campaign for Virginia governor say he is getting killed by the left-wing, baby murdering, homo-loving, Clinton-stooge Terry McAuliffe because the Clinton flunkie keeps blanketing the airways with ads saying that Cuccinelli is a right-wing extremist that will take away a woman’s right to abort her baby and will not let queers get married. Cuccinelli NEVER runs any ads on social issues defending himself. In otherwords he is letting this little left-wing crook define him and set the agenda, and this little left-wing bastard will be Virginia’s next governor BECAUSE Cucccinelli will not stand up for Christian morality because he is scared to death the liberal media in Virgina will make fun of him.

Cuccenelli deserves to lose the race if he will not stand for his conservative values and stand up for his faith and stand up for REAL MARRIAGE and stand up for PRO-LIFE.

The Cuccenelli way is the reason this country has been taken over by the forces of satan. To hell with all these cowardly politicians that cower down to the left-wing anti-God democrats like a dog in heat. It is disgusting.

The same guy said Cuccenelli’s campaign is being ran by inside the Belt-way RINO consultants that tell him not to mention social issues because it will chase away voters.
