(CNN) - Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, R-West Virginia, called on the president Saturday to delay the individual mandate in the health care law that requires Americans to obtain insurance or face a penalty.
The GOP-controlled House passed a bill this summer urging the administration to do so, but the bill has no future in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
The administration already announced it would delay a provision requiring businesses with more than 50 employees to provide insurance.
"Its time for your Senate to pass and for you to sign the Houses bipartisan delay of the individual mandate," the congresswoman said in the GOP weekly address. "Lets delay this health care law not just for some, but for all Americans."

“That’s retarded, sir.”
But...but...but...the leftwing, ‘RAT extremists says that it’s “the law of the land.” You can’t delay “the law of the land”.
Word has it that 6 Dem Senators are telling Obama to delay it.
NO DELAY.
Its the law of the land.
Obama shut the government down in order to fend off a Republican delay.
Let him start the fines for not being able to purchase crap nobody wanted to buy anyway.
IDIOTS! No delay.
They’ve called us jihadists, terrorists, and arsonists, say we “strap bombs to our chest”, call us anarchists, and of course racists... now they want delay?
NO WAY.
No. It’s time for the R’s to make the Marxist’s “eat their peas”.
“eat their peas” - Awesome!
Throw that at Obama.
Send out Cruz and Lee and all the “tea party” to demand a delay and Obama won’t be able to delay it.
Now that is funny ....I like that.
6 Dems is enough to get it past the Senate if Reid brings it up and the GOP goes along.
A delay has to be approved by Congress and even if the Senate passes such a delay, the House can dilly dally for a long time.
Ted Cruz was right and, unless they own up to that, leave them hanging.
After they way they’ve behaved... leave them hanging no matter what.
At this point I think the pubbies would be better off simply simply shrugging their shoulders and remind anyone who listen that they tried to stop the implementation of this horrible law.
And then, they should take off the gloves and excoriate the sycophantic, boot-licking press, for not doing their job.
The answer to "I won", is "fine, you own it..."
That boot lickin press just turned on Obamacare like a bunch of hungry sharks biting a bleeding fish. Chuck Todd of NBC/MSNBC.
Completely broke the talk radio paradigm. They said this cant happen.
No amount of GOP complaining over 3 years(past two anyway) did this.
GOP suggested this delay, and Dems cursed the idea.
... would they prefer Oak or Ash....?
...and for the dims we have a special on hemp based rope.
Willow makes a good switch. Then stretch em from a stout oak.
A reminder that there really is no mandate, as there is no provision to collect the penalty for not having insurance.

If the individual mandate is delayed then all the people hired to administer both mandates must be laid off. Since there is no work to do there must be no workers.
Laid off??
The GOP House rushed in to pay the Federal employees for their two weeks off during shutdown before it was even over, passed that bill on a Saturday.
last week a Female Friend of mine who is a GS emailed me with with :”You guys caved too soon. I wanted another two weeks off (paid vacation)”
Well, its only taxpayers $$$ anyway right?
The hue and cry must be raised. There must at least be loud noises to protest the ongoing waste of money and human resources.
The shame of going to work and having nothing to do and no one to direct the non work is life threatening. The permanent harm to the psyche will last forever and reduce life span. Being Riff’ed is a life saving measure.
