The medical device tax in 0bama care is a real jobs killer

Yep. I know this from firsthand experience. Just another piece in the “Destroy Healthcare as We Know It” agenda.

Longterm, lack of innovation is going to be a big problem. Extra taxes, besides sending jobs overseas, will cut into research budgets. Besides that, if everything has to be government approved for the insurance to apply, care will stagnate.

I can't see how this helps democrats or republicans. Only the elite survive?

Wonder what Boston Scientific’s position on immigration reform is? They cut all these jobs and turn around and hire a bunch of foreigners on H-1B Visas.

This is the maker of the stimulator they want to implant in my spine. Should I be worried about the quality of that device?

All I can say is look into the history of off-shoring jobs. The elite always survive one way or another.

Sure. While you are at it, go to war with nearly every other major company in the USA who does the EXACT SAME THING, and that included companies that DON’T have large overseas markets.

Instead of blaming that, why don’t we create a business environment where we can afford to hire people here in this country?

Another pump and dump in the making. Another looting and gutting of a company justified by the perpetrators because they “couldn’t compete” in the marketplace. Somebody always walks away from these deals with a boatload of cash, and it isn’t the shareholders or employees.

Medical device industry, just about the perfect industry: high tech, high wages, products that give people better lives. Let’s tax the hell out of it.

Could it be this guy? From the article...

The company also said Thursday that its CFO is leaving.

I don’t think they added many jobs in Mass. I know they added a bunch in China and maybe a few other eastern countries. I also know of a more hush-hush layoff that occurred a few weeks ago at the Maple Grove plant (the one remaining plant that is open there), but I don’t know any numbers.

Sorry I messed up the excerpting. For some reason I thought the posting form would take care of that if it was needed. Did I mis-source this?
