How GOP Insiders Will Fail in Civil War vs. Tea Party: “The Establishment Strikes Back”
Canada Free Press ^ | October 29, 2013 | Jonathon Moseley

“The Establishment Strikes Back.” But this campaign against the tea party will fail, because false assumptions dominate the thinking and plans of America’s Republican establishment. GOP insiders have now declared war on the tea party. They are promising during the 2014 U.S. elections to restore business interests to dominate the GOP, and weaken the tea party influence.

“Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio. According to the National Journal, “LaTourette’s new political group, Defending Main Street, aims to raise $8 million to fend off tea-party challenges against more mainstream Republican incumbents.” La Tourette explains: “We’re going to be very aggressive and we’re going to get in their faces.”

Trouble is: America’s Republican aristocracy does not understand the tea party or what is motivating the grassroots insurgency. Republican insiders cannot respond to what they do not understand.

First, too many ‘mainstream’ Republicans candidates spend money like drunken sailors. They vote for more spending, bigger deficits, more business-strangling regulations, bigger government, and ballooning national debt. They must eventual buckle to higher taxes.

Political gurus put on an act, saying that the divide falls between fiscal issues and social issues. But establishment candidates are not fiscal conservatives, the only play fiscal conservatives on TV. The tea party revolt is against the GOP’s rampant fiscal irresponsibility.

The tea party aims to put the United States’ finances in order, lowering taxes, and balancing the budget. The charade of pitting ‘business interests’ against the tea party will not fool businessmen for long. The GOP establishment is bad for business.

Second, the grassroots is demanding genuine change. Until they see actual change, ain’t nobody listening. GOP elites don’t get it:

Civil war? Nah.. The TP needs to simply inform the GOP it will break off and form its own party if the GOP doesn’t cease and desist with the attacks. The GOP will never win the White House again anyway, so there’s no reason not to throw that gauntlet down now.

LOL, that was desperate of you, the tea party rolled in a pile of victories in 2010, and in 2012 Rove rolled in massive defeat, wasting something like 400 million and the GOPe losing something like 10 or 11 Senate races, while Palin was giving us our only Senate seat pick-up, and Ted Cruz.

Boy I hope they fail. For the past few years I have been VERY much in favor of splitting off and forming a third party. The GOP can’t beat the Dims anyway. Now is the time.

However, I sure hope they do fail against us.

And how did that work out for Senator O'Donnell?

Well that is a vastly complex question with many, many parts to it.

But the point is, right here, that people gave AGAINST the establishment more than "for" Christine. Voters wanted to show the GOP establishment the middle finger.

So the same GOP establishment telling those voters whom to vote for is not going to work. The GOP leadership has lost the trust of the Party grassroots.

Until GOP leaders win back the trust of the grassroots voters, nothing good is going to happen.

The GOP establishment has failed and at best has always met halfway from where they are to where the far left is going.

Time to end it, forget mending it.

Put all new ones with spines in.

And how did that work out for Senator O'Donnell?

It got her IRS records illegally accessed and distributed, in an inside-job to derail her campaign with what turned out in hindsight to be false allegations, but at the time a lethal blow.

Political gurus put on an act, saying that the divide falls between fiscal issues and social issues.

The divide falls between more government and less government.

The most pressing of the social issues are around ailments caused by government. Hack and prune government out of abortion, homosexuality, and charity (welfare). Root it out in civil "rights" anti-discrimination tyranny of such that a business can be sued for refusing to provide wedding services to prospective gay clients. And watch as abortion and promiscuity and the gay "lifestyle" get ... well, politely shown the door. Go somewhere else. And while we're at it, get rid of government in religious matters so we can see some CHRISTMAS TREES in American banks again and post the 10 Commandments where ever they need to be.

The less government, a more moral America.

The Democrats aren't the enemny of the "establishment Republicans". The constitutional conservatives are. Those RINOs are quite content being in charge of the loyal opposition, profiting every step of the way.

Now that they've been outed, they have the nerve to fight back. Why can't they just slither away?

She lost the general election, but more important, a RINO didn't win it.

And a RINO couldn't have, despite what the Rovians tell you.

BTW, does "Rovian" sound suspiciously like "Romulan"?

“And how did that work out for Senator O’Donnell?”

Actual her most effective opposition, and the democrats support, came from Karl Rove and his tribe. Without Roves help and the establishments help given to the democrats she would have won.

Steve, Steve, you do not realize that the Tea Party represents the voters of the USA. Especially those voters who believe in fiscal responsibility, the right to life, personal responsibility, common sense, they believe in God, and they know that men and women are different.

Steve, you are a foolish and misguided man!

Great article -- I think he's pretty much spot on.

I also think one of the biggest fasle assumptions is that people will blindly vote Republican "against" the other guy. That "heads-we-win, tails-you-loose" trick only works for so long.

Glenn Beck said that it would take the Tea Party 18 months to take over the Republican party and replace it. This was
like when the Republicans replaced the Whigs in the 1850’s. The first step, Beck said, is to starve the Pubs of donations. No more money to the RNC or any Republican rinos.

The GOPe already foisted upon the American People, the likes of John McCain and Mitt Romney. No more. Anybody that is not going to stand FOR The U.S. Constitution, and operate WITHIN that fixed document, is a traitor, and needs to be removed from office. Period.

Amen!!!
