The grassroots is like a wife who has been cheated on, who is refusing to listen to her adulterous husband’s excuses. So when GOP aristocrats ‘warn’ us about tea party candidates, their arguments fall on deaf ears. Voters must see a genuine change of heart before they might start listening. Hell hath no fury like a voter whom the establishment has lied to (once too often).

Third, conservative candidates thrive when attacked by GOP elites. The morning after Christine O’Donnell won the September 14, 2010, primary, her website displayed a fund-raising goal of $50,000. Then, news spread that Mike Castle refused to endorse the choice of the voters and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) was refusing to help. Radio talk show host Laura Ingraham that morning then Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity that afternoon urged their enormous audiences to donate.

Christine’s fund-raising blew through $1.1 million by 1:30 PM. She only asked for $50,000 that day. Conservatives ultimately gave $7.4 million. Steve LaTourette’s entire budget is only $8 million, spread across 10 campaigns.

Contributors gave $7.4 million for the pleasure of sticking their thumb in GOP guru Karl Rove’s eye. The more the establishment snubbed sweet and sympathetic Christine, the more conservative donors wanted to slap Republican elites across the face with their own donation. Those donations were a rejection of the very establishment who now imagine we will suddenly start listening to them.

Wouldn’t it be nice if these GOP insiders devoted the energy they are using to defeat the TEA Party to defeating Democrats instead? I can dream can’t I?

And how did that work out for Senator O'Donnell?

LaTourette’s new political group, Defending Main Street

Main Street??? Really??? What is that old saying that Sarah Palin so eloquently and aptly cited about a pig with lipstick?

The GOPe is in for one hell of a surprise when the American people (Tea Party) crawl through broken glass to kick the shit out of these RINO’s in 2014!!

Paging Karl Rove, your unemployment check is in the mail, your Obamacare policy is also waiting for you, now bend over and take it like the piece of shit you are!

The GOPe is fighting to retain their stolen power, period.
The GOPe is in bed with the Democrats, period.
The GOPe already foisted upon the American People, the likes of John McCain and Mitt Romney. No more.

Anybody that is not going to stand FOR The U.S. Constitution, and operate WITHIN that fixed document, is a traitor, and needs to be removed from office.

Period.

How many of Karl Rove's handpicked candidates won in 2012?

Rove, through his two political outfits, American Crossroads and Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies, backed unsuccessful Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney with $127 million on more than 82,000 television spots, according to Kantar Media’s CMAG, an ad tracker based in New York.

Down the ballot, 10 of the 12 Senate candidates and four of the nine House candidates the Rove groups supported also lost their races.

Rove and wannabees like La Tourette raise big bucks and use the money to feather their own nests.

Donald Trump posted a message on Twitter saying: “Congrats to @KarlRove on blowing $400 million this cycle. Every race @CrossroadsGPS ran ads in, the Republicans lost. What a waste of money.”

Civil war? Nah.. The TP needs to simply inform the GOP it will break off and form its own party if the GOP doesn’t cease and desist with the attacks. The GOP will never win the White House again anyway, so there’s no reason not to throw that gauntlet down now.

Boy I hope they fail. For the past few years I have been VERY much in favor of splitting off and forming a third party. The GOP can’t beat the Dims anyway. Now is the time.

However, I sure hope they do fail against us.

The GOP establishment has failed and at best has always met halfway from where they are to where the far left is going.

Time to end it, forget mending it.

Put all new ones with spines in.

Political gurus put on an act, saying that the divide falls between fiscal issues and social issues.

The divide falls between more government and less government.

The most pressing of the social issues are around ailments caused by government. Hack and prune government out of abortion, homosexuality, and charity (welfare). Root it out in civil "rights" anti-discrimination tyranny of such that a business can be sued for refusing to provide wedding services to prospective gay clients. And watch as abortion and promiscuity and the gay "lifestyle" get ... well, politely shown the door. Go somewhere else. And while we're at it, get rid of government in religious matters so we can see some CHRISTMAS TREES in American banks again and post the 10 Commandments where ever they need to be.

The less government, a more moral America.

“Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio. According to the National Journal, “LaTourette’s new political group, Defending Main Street, aims to raise $8 million to fend off tea-party challenges against more mainstream Republican incumbents.” La Tourette explains: “We’re going to be very aggressive and we’re going to get in their faces.”

Steve, Steve, you do not realize that the Tea Party represents the voters of the USA. Especially those voters who believe in fiscal responsibility, the right to life, personal responsibility, common sense, they believe in God, and they know that men and women are different.

Steve, you are a foolish and misguided man!

But this campaign against the tea party will fail, because false assumptions dominate the thinking and plans of America’s Republican establishment.

Great article -- I think he's pretty much spot on.

I also think one of the biggest fasle assumptions is that people will blindly vote Republican "against" the other guy. That "heads-we-win, tails-you-loose" trick only works for so long.
