Ted Cruz to Guest on ‘Tonight Show with Jay Leno’
Variety ^ | 10/30/13 | Ted Johnson

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), the political face of the recent government shutdown, will make his first late night TV appearance on Nov. 8 when he guests on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

Cruz’s appearance reflects the increasingly common trend of political figures, no matter how controversial, venturing into late night, often in hopes of softening their image or reaching audiences normally not tuned in to politics.

Is the band going to learn some Mexican music to play as he walks onstage?

Good for him.

After watching the MAJORITY House members yawn their way through the Sebelius hearings, we desperately need a contrast.

The republican congress were the ones who criticized Ted Cruz for speaking out, they were going to fix Obamacare as soon as they gain power.

I got YELLED at by people I know who think they’re conservative for liking Cruz. they said he ruined EVERYTHING the republicans were poised to fix once Obamacare flopped.

This is what that looks like.

Greasy, bored guys, texting, nodding off.

NO. I watched them bungle the Clinton thing. Same guys. Hatch, Graham, McDoodoohead.

N O

Ted Cruz gets the ratings. The media knows it.

Pray, but he’ll do well. It’s us we need to pray for.

This is very smart of Cruz. I hope that he does some research on Leno before the show. I know that Leno is a classic car enthusiast. Ted might want to find some common ground to establish a friendly conversation.

Mariachi is a type of Mexican music. Not all Mexican music is Mariachi music. When Cruz walks onto the stage the band should play the USC football theme “Conquest.” The music was originally from the 1950’s movie “Captain of Castile” staring Tyrone Power as Hernan Cortez.

I know I’m mixing houses, there, but this is what congress does when they’re in the majority. The Senate will not be any better, Ann Coulter is living in sci-fi.

The republican congress gets cheered and dragged kicking and screaming to the finish line; with the ball through the goal line kicking their little feet. They HATE to win.

They Hate when other republicans win.

They wouldn’t be in the majority if the voters didn’t cheer them in, drag them in. And when they get there they’re like Rubio and Scott Brown.

Cruz can’t do it alone. He’s going to get major ratings tonight and he’ll take whatever Leno dishes out.

Others need to take the inspiration. But we can’t take what we saw today.

The headlines should be burning with the dissing of Sebelius. Instead we have, “Hillary Can Win in ...”

I kept waiting for someone, anyone to ask why the contract was not put out for bid, who decided on that particular company, who signed the contract, why hire someone who had their last contract for similar work with Canada terminated, how much had already been paid to the Canadian company, was a portion of the funds retained pending a successful rollout, if yes how much, what about the tie from Michelle to her friend who works there, as well as the fact that Valerie’s daughter and SIL are also associated with them.

JUST NOTHING! They had the bully pulpit and did not use it. Have never seen such a bunch of incompetents.
