HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told Congress today she didn’t know if Obamacare health care plans force Americans to pay for abortions, despite evidence that many plans will force enrollees to fund abortions.
Although Americans will definitely fund abortions under Obamacare, the top health care official didn’t know that was the case.
“If someone, a constituent of mine or someone in this country, has strongly-held pro-life views, can you commit to us to make sure that the federal exchanges that offer that are clearly identified so people can understand if they’re going to buy a policy that has abortion coverage or not, because right now you cannot make that determination,” Rep. John Shimkus (R-Ill.) asked.
“Sir I don’t know,” Sebelius responded. “I know exactly the issue you’re talking about. I will check and make sure that is clearly identifiable.”
“Here’s our request: Can you provide for the committee the list of insurers in the federal exchange who do not offer as part of their package abortion coverage?” the congressman inquired.
After prodding from the Congressman, Sebelius said she will list #Obamacare insurers not offering abortion coverage so pro-life people can find abortion-free plans in the Obamacare exchanges.
“I can do that sir,” Sebelius said, to which Shimkus responded, “We should be able to do it.”
“I just said… ” Sebelius replied but Shimkus corrected her, “You said if we can do it.”
“No I think we can do that, is what I said,” Sebelius said.
“I think we can do it, or I know we can do it,” Shimkus asked.
“I can’t tell you what I don’t know firmly right now,” Sebelius said. “I know that is the plan, I will get that information.”
When the question was raised, there was an audible ‘interruption’ from someone in the room who said: “Here we go!”
They need to put Biden out in front to answer Obamacare questions...that would be worth paying admission to hear!
It was part of the legislation that qualifying plans must put at least $1 of every month’s premium payment to fund abortions.
It was specifically included to force everyone to be complicit with killing babies.
Wait....the nazi she wolf did not read the 22, 000 pages of obamacare?

She sure don’t know much ‘bout the law she’s in charge of implementing. Government work.
She might not actually know. She is a political appointee that spends all her time raising money for demonrats. The real work and all the knowledge is from the undersecretary etc.
The wrong people were brought before congress. This is just a television moment for all involved, from both sides. They need to ask the people who actually know the facts, not politicians.

They will probably make sure that there is some surcharge in the “no abortion funding” plans, which make them another 50% higher premium, just so no one will sign up for them.
Litigating Obamacare is a “full employment” bill for attorneys, not to mention the 15,000 lawyers and accountants hired for IRS duty.
These days the 22,000 pages could be searched on a computer for the word “abortion”.

She does know the law forces people to pay for plans that cover abortions. The law requires plans to cover this.
She IS the face of abortion. It’s all she promoted in Kansas as Governor. For her to oversee this and not have it a requirement of every plan - this is how they get all abortion covered without saying “the government pays for it” - by requiring by govt edict the plans have to cover it.

OK OK. I agree that she knows about the funding abortion issue. I was thinking about general facts about Bongocare, sorry. Funding abortion is something she knows about because it is a major tenant of her faith. But in general I do believe she doesn’t know much about the inner working of her department.
