President Barack Obama cast Republican Ken Cuccinelli on Sunday as part of an extreme tea party Republican faction that shut down the government, throwing the political weight of the White House behind Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the final days of a bitter race for governor.
National issues that have sorely divided Democrats and Republicans spilled into the race as Obama rallied for McAuliffe just outside Washington. As Obama tore into Cuccinelli as a compromise-averse ideologue, Cuccinelli was telling his supporters that Tuesdays election will be a referendum on Obamas unpopular health care law and McAuliffes support for it.
Even before Obama spoke, Cuccinelli was working to use the campaign stop to energize his own backers, many of whom disapprove of the president and detest his health care law. Portraying McAuliffe as a Washington insider, Cuccinelli told voters in Weyers Cave that a vote for McAuliffe was a vote in support of Obamas health care law. No more Obamacare in Virginia. Thats the message we can send, Cuccinelli said as he began a day that was taking him from airport to airport to rally supporters across the state.

Be reasonable! DO IT MY WAY!!!
This will go down as the biggest campaign mistake since martha coakley brought Obama in to campaign for her just before she was drubbed by scott brown.

I think we’ve reached the tipping point with Ubama, where everybody now knows that whatever he says is the opposite of the truth.
More proof that the Marxist Kenyan pig hates Americans. Especially white Americans. His hate is strong. Your “typical” Kenyan.
I like my tea party. I’m gonna keep my tea party. Period.
The Tea Party is Occupying Obama’s head.
Oh, I am soooo praying you are right!
Funny how a nonexistant tea party puts the fear of
God into communists.
Be afraid Obama, your day is done.
Tea Power, the power of the American people.
Cuccinelli is running an effective anti-Obamacare ad which ends with the assertion that McAuliffe was all for Obamacare and would even take it further while he, Cuccinelli led the fight against it.
Hope this taps into the anger people have about their insurance being cancelled and/or premiums raised.
It may be enough to peel votes away from Sarvis.
you can only hope that when they need to bring in a President with a -13 pt approval rating, that they are only trying to stir the Kool aid drinking base. there is no way that they are going to move moderates, and if they do....VA is a lost cause.
Being on Obama’s enemies list is a badge of honor.
Let him rail against all the ingrates he says created this nation. Karma bites. Count on it, complicit media or not.
Obama, the hate is strong in this one...
I pray that you are right. And we the people ARE on the right side. I am Tea Party. Proud to be occupying space in that feeble brain since 2010! (Tea Party thinker a heckuva lot longer than that!)
I like my tea party. Im gonna keep my tea party.
I like my America, I’m gonna keep it that way.
Hey Obama, we saw the Republicans come up with at
least three ways to compromise, you came up with 0.
that tells us all we needed to know.
The tea party is a threat to not only him but the old GOP guard.............onward!!!!
I’ve been thinking about the tipping point and what the signs were to indicate it.
One of the first signs was the request by half dozen or more Rat Senators to delay the individual mandate (after destroying Cruz for requesting the same).
Secondly, we’ve seen several Rat Senators (Landrieu, Manchin, e.g.) requesting that insurers be permitted to grandfather more policies - even though these very Senators voted against a similar proposal by Mike Enzi-R in 2010.
Neither of these requests are serious - the Rats are just posturing.
There have been numerous trial balloons floated in the DBM to explain or excuse both the website catastrophe and Obama’s lies. None of them have gotten traction and are quickly lampooned.
What will be next?
My guess is that we will soon see Democrats who voted for the bill backtrack and claim that, if they had been told the truth by Obama, they would never have voted for the bill.
They’ll throw Obama under the bus to save themselves. It’s the only hope of survival for those running in red states and districts.
I don’t ever see the DBM divorcing themselves from Obama. They don’t have to face voters and their patrons are liberals.
