Every pro-life candidate from now on is going to get asked the "Akin question", which goes something like this:

Do you believe that a twelve year old girl, raped by her stepfather, should be legally required to carry the child to term??

And the answer, if not "no", will be trumpeted by the Dems and the MSM 24/7.

Now, I can appreciate the sincerity of any candidate who will answer "yes" to that question, while at the same time recognizing that his or her candidacy is doomed.
