I agree. The abortion issue was settled a long time ago and the majority of women will not vote for a pro life candidate, especially if the candidate is against abortion for victims of rape, incest or life of the mother. In addition, most people don’t care what gays do or don’t do relative to marriage. The far right will dig in their heals for their ideal candidate and they will lose.

The Far Right? me thinks you are lost. Free Republic was the Tea Party before there was a Tea Party.

You don't win by compromising your principles, you win by making the other guy compromise HIS principles.

And One Prinples FR stands on is Pro-Life, something which has been lacking in this thread......

The unborn child is not guilty of the crime of rape, and should not suffer the death penalty for the crime of the father. That was enshrined over 3,000 years ago in the commandment, thou shalt not kill. To hell with the brain dead low information female voters who take their cue from Oprah and the Lifetime Channel.

How does one propose to get a majority of women voters to approve of laws forcing them to carry their rapists unborn child? Fighting against abortions of convenience is one thing, making laws that dictate how a rape victim deals with her own issues is a completely different situation.
