I see people renting DVDs from machines in grocery stores here regularly.

I recall BB bought up Erol’s video store chain years ago.
Erol’s was in the VCR age of rental movies.

I remember them putting Macrovision encoding on them to screw up the recording VCR gain on copied versions only, only on newer VCrs per FCC regs.
