Blame the third party candidate, and recognize the democrats for funding him. Remember Ross Perot.
The "third party" excuse is so worn out. That line of thinking is also what gives us weak-@ss candidates like Dole, McCain and even Romney. The perception by the powers that be is that only one Pubbie and one Dimocrat should run and those will be your only choices. Face it, the parties want it this way.
My vote goes to a solid candidate. Put forth a solid candidate and that's who get my vote, not just because they have an (R) at the end of their name.
By all accounts, Cuccinelli ran a good race, was a good candidate, but is another example of being in a party that will throw you off the bus if you don't follow their lead. We need to starve that beast and seriously look at a third party. Build a structure from local and state elections and work the way up.
No blame the RNC, they gave NO money to help in the election of a republican because he was a TEA Party guy, I no longer will give ANY $$$ to the RNC, the RNCC.....and if they run a RINO I will NOT vote for the RINO.....
Yeah, let's just forget the fact that the prior gubernatorial election the GOP spent $9M+ on the campaign for their candidate, yet this time they could only spare $3M for a Conservative candidate. McAuliffe being able to outspend Cuccinelli 10 to 1 had absolutely nothing to do with it; it was ALL the third party candidate.
