Sorry
393% would indeed be higher than national unemployment rate.
Nasty racist white people just won’t give a brother a job!!! /s;)
Minimum wage.
This isn’t really a fair comparison, if I’m understanding it correctly. Black youth UE vs UE for all age groups nationwide.
Seems to me it should be compared to all unemployed from the 16-19 age group. Second, the reported unemployment rate is vastly understated anyway, making the number of black youths out of work skewed.
Only because selling drugs is not a recognized form of employment.
but back then, we weren't all driving at age 16...we didn't have cell phones and we didn't drink $5 starbucks or Mcdonalds hamburgers every day...
Raise the import tariffs. Put Americans back to work, rebuild American industries, make America less dependent on foriegn nations.
This would help everyone including black youths.

Still think raising taxes is going to help, I see. Jobs aren’t leaving because of absence of tariffs (which are taxes); they are leaving because of ridiculous regulations and high corporate taxation.
Sayin’ it like only he can.
But...but...but...Uncle Barry was going to save the black community. He promised.... /sarc
Speak for yourself, Doc! I’ve made a fabulous living selling drugs:)
I had to fight with the math in my head, and was searching for a decimal point. But 393% looks right. It is actually THAT bad.
No they are leaving because we lowered the tariffs. You could eliminate all taxes and regulations and you can’t compete with Chinese labor wages.
The tariffs worked well the first 190 years of our country’s existence. They would work well now. Though it will take some time to undo the damage that has been done.
Amen
No, they are not leaving because tariffs are lowered. I do not know where you heard that, but it really is the increasing regulation and the highest corporate taxation on the planet that is pushing jobs out of the country, not to mention out-of-control unions and lack of morals at the executive level of business.
Look at the European Union. That’s a no-tariff union, and yet most of the jobs that are in Germany stay in Germany. Tariffs are not the factor in play here.
