Obamacare: Who’s Crying Now? - Our progressive friends dislike the taste of their own cooking
American Spectator ^ | November 11, 2013 | David Catron

Posted on 11/11/2013 4:58:18 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

It is wrong, of course, to take pleasure in the misfortune of others. Still, I must confess that I have derived no small amount of schadenfreude from news stories about Obamacare advocates who have been adversely affected by the not-so-Affordable Care Act. It would take a stronger man than yours truly to suppress a smile as the law’s media pimps pule about their canceled health plans, when smug urban progressives get mugged by the reality of “reform,” and lifelong Democrats publicly denounce President Obama as a brazen liar while declaring their intention to become foot soldiers for the RepublicaParty.

One of the most exquisitely ironic complaints about Obamacare has come from former MSNBC blowhard, Dylan Ratigan. During the debate preceding the law’s passage, this character regularly suggested that we who opposed the Democrat plan to take over U.S. health care were all racists. It appears, however, that this erstwhile scourge of bigotry has now joined the knuckle-dragging enemies of our first black president. Recently, he fired off the following querulous tweet:“I bought a catastrophic health policy for $170/mo when I left MSNBC. Obamacare cancelled the policy. New rate $600/mo. Thnx Mr. President!”

If Ratigan had stopped abusing his opponents long enough to hear what we were saying, he wouldn’t have been surprised by the cancellation. What did he think Obamacare’s authors intended when they stipulated that a plan must provide “minimum” levels of coverage? What did he think the President meant by “cut-rate insurance”? If he had shut up long enough he would have learned the truth, as he himself expressed it in a follow up tweet when he finally pulled his head out of…er…the sand: “I have been a long time advocate of catastrophic with a transparent mkt for routine. Struck me as interesting that that is illegal now.”....

Libs LOVE to have compassion with other people’s money. When they realized that ObamaCare will cost them big time, it lost its charm.

Yep. They were simply being used and now they’re going to be abused in a way no lawyer will be able to fix. Unfortunately the rest of us will have to suffer for their naivety, lack of discernment, common sense, and wisdom. I’m guessing they will much prefer the ways of Yahweh than Allah before this episode is over.

You need another sign that replaces “Obamacare” with “my Christianity”

I imagine all the Senators that voted for ObieCare were promised big taxpayer bucks to ensure our enslavement. That would explain their flipping when no other reason exists that makes any sense at all.

I hope they recall the good old Hope N’ Change days when they were having orgasims over how wonderful it felt to be voting for a black man with no credentials, no experience and a head full of mushy socialist pipedreams.

>>”Our premium for next year is going up to over $1,000 a month.”<< That is a car payment for two cars. Getting one new car every 4 or 5 years is a big “effing” deal for most or all middle class families. Obamacare is taking the amount of 2 car payments out of every middle class family, not to mention the extra $500 per month if the deductible is payed in full. Any questions what this will do to the economy?

How many Libs MUGGED by Obamacare will take a look at conservatism?

My new Obamacare compliant premium will cost me 1.5 times what my property tax costs me annually. And around here that is a big effin’ deal.

You have to understand that we’re dealing with their source of righteousness here. Not to blaspheme, but the parallel would be to denounce Jesus as a failed source of righteousness.

They see their “liberalism” as making them good people.

Who’s Crying Now?

We are. WE all are. And te congress, who was too wimpy to defund it will wish they had done so. Because getting rid of an entrenched law will be a heck of a lot harder that stopping it first, for the strongest of people. But these guys ar too weak to even do their jobs, much less stop this now,, or later.

Republicans told the Dem faithful that Obamacare was going to be awful. The Dems told the Republicans they were all nasty racists. Now everything the Pubbies said was going to happen, happened. I delight in watching Dems having to eat huge amounts of rotten crow...no ketchup either.

The really bad part of the ACA hasn’t hit yet.

True. First it was Obamacare, then, when signing up (and PAYING) turned into a mess, it was called ACA.

The bad part will be once people find out what they will be getting .... ZEROCARE.

That is exactly right. Now is the time for the RNC to be saying just that. The opposition needs to be, ‘in their faces’ with every ‘I told you so...’ imaginable.
