Pop The Paxil! Super-Subdued Obama Speaks To Supporters
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 11/18/2013 7:14:14 PM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Tonight's Organizing For Action conference call with President Obama was billed as "exclusive," and indeed it was . . . in the sense that anyone in the world who signed up for it could listen in.

I was one of the lucky few hundred thousand, and was dumbstruck by how depressed President Obama seemed. Looks like SNL was onto something. Listen to the brief, edited audio clip from the conference call, and compare and contrast the super-subdued tone with the soaring rhetoric from the good old hope 'n change days of the 2008 campaign.

More here.

This plus another report on a different topic tells me the website is not salvagable.

At all.

It's over for him.

And if people start to really turn -- people in the press -- if they stop covering for him, then all of his scandals will explode. People have been laughing at Warren G. Harding for almost 100 years. It may be that Obama will take his place as a laughingstock. The scandals killed Harding. Maybe Biden will end up spending some time in the big office.

And there are many MORE scandals which are going to erupt.

There's no way that the IRS, Benghazi, F&F, are the only ones. There's a lot there that Jarrett thought she was in control of. I do believe things are going to really fall apart.

It will be the greatest political theater since Nero.

Unfortunately, there will be collateral damage (Schumpeter's Gale?).

I heard 3 major bits today that I think could be the end of him

1) The Website may not be able to be fixed, 2) a DEMOCRAT was saying that obamacare may actually need to be repealed, and 3) Meghan Kelly had a report tonight that TWO WEEKS BEFORE the liar-in-chief got up and lied about being able to keep your (individual) plan the DOJ was in court saying IN A LEGAL FILING that most GROUP (employer- not individual) plans would be cancelled before the end of 2014

To top it off Sheriff Arpaio’s posse is filing something huge about the birth certificate (criminal charges, naming names of forgers, and co-conspirators)

I am beginning to wonder if Obama can make it to the end of his term

I think its mostly that if he doesn’t have people in an audience that he can see adoring him, he loses interest because he’s lazy.

Even then, the dust mites may give him a run for his money.

After listening to the linked audio, I had the distinct impression I was listening to someone who was simply not all that focused or interested in what he was probably pushed into doing by people he couldn’t say no to but resented, and he was casting about for something coherent to say on the phone until he could off of it.

Would be glad to lend the Kenyan a rope, if I get it back later.
